I did give up on keeping the cats inside their cone hats after about 5 days. The kitten escaped from hers several times, the final time either hiding or eating the gauze string that had been used to tie the cone. The older cat, just looked so miserable solo in her cone prison that I finally relented. Their incisions seem to be healing fine and they go Monday to get their staples removed. One cat, as you can see in the picture above, is still not amused.

I love that picture! What an expression. I don’t think I could keep my cats in those silly collars either. I’m sure they would be miserable and I’d end up feeling guilty. lol
