Well, the cats are back from from the synchronized spays at the vet’s and locked again in the tack room. Now, I don’t know why I didn’t think of it, but I didn’t expect them to come back having to wear cones for 2 weeks. 14 days of 1 obviously very annoyed Momma cat and one very confused kitten.
Isn’t it bad enough I’m 3 legged? she pleads at me from beneath her plastic crown.

No matter what she is wearing, Kato remains amazingly photogenic. Seriously, this cat should be a cat model.

Also, I am not sure that my vet has actually lived with kittens before. Post Op instructions are to “limit kitten’s activity level”. Short of keeping her in a cat carrier 24 hours a day, I don’t think Kato is going to be successful at following Doctor’s orders.

I hope that everyone settles down in their cones and behaves themselves during the healing process. Otherwise, I’m afraid they’ll need to return to the vet to get boarded until their sutures come out in 14 (ack, yes 14!) days.

wow, I’ve never had cones on cats or dogs that I’ve had spayed. It does look like the kitten is not following doctor’s orders. lol

The kitties in the cones might be the cutest thing I’ve seen in a long time. It’s a little pitiful, but still really cute. And my cat didn’t have to have a cone either.

Awww, poor little babies. Our Toast didn’t get a collar when we had her spayed a few weeks ago. I wonder why. We couldn’t see any stitches either. We wondered if they’d superglued her together.

No cones! The kitten keeps escaping from hers so I’m thinking of just throwing in the cone towel tomorrow so to speak. Scary – no stitches? They do have some sort of suture superglue deal, can’t remember how it works. Looks like my poor kitties have stitches AND staples! yuk.
